We are a family-owned accounting and consulting firm with more than 30 years of tradition, employing more than 15 employees. We build on expertise, trust and individual approach to clients. We support entrepreneurs in Slovakia from the very beginning and accompany them in the various stages of their business. We realize that accounting is not only about numbers, but also about building a stable and credible foundation for future development. Our goal is to provide accurate, understandable and reliable solutions that make it easier for clients to make decisions and bring certainty. We are a partner you can rely on at any time.

1993

Our History

The family dimension and future of the company began to take shape in 1990, when Ms. Makovíniová, after her tenure at the Ministry of Finance, obtained a trade license. With extraordinary expertise and a progressive approach to technology, she began to provide accounting services for freelancers.

In 1993, a significant step was taken - Ms. Makovíniová became an auditor and founded M.I.S. with the ambition to offer comprehensive accounting and tax services. In 1998, a younger daughter joined the team. A year later, the current son-in-law joined the company. And in 2002, after successfully graduating from the University of Economics, the eldest daughter also joined.

The year 2004 brought Slovakia's accession to the European Union, which opened the door to specialized tax advice for foreign entities. These international collaborations, based on trust and expertise, continue successfully to this day.

In 2016, we underwent a significant rebrand and expanded our portfolio with a key area - R&D consulting, confirming our innovative approach.

2020 brought a global challenge in the form of the COVID-19 pandemic, which required immediate adaptation. Our team quickly moved to the home office and fully adapted to the online environment, ensuring continuous support for our clients even in the most difficult times. As a symbol of our change and modernization, we shortened our name from M.I.S. to simple and dynamic MIS in 2021.

Today, MIS is also making significant strides in the field of accounting digitization and process automation. We are ready for a future where data mining, document import through various platforms and PREMIUM API banking are among our key innovations.
